Winter Projects
We currently have a number of projects underway throughout the golf course. Our main focus right now is working on the tree management plan. We had 24 trees scheduled for removal. to date, we have completed 13 of the removals with 6 others in progress. We anticiapte having all of the trees removed in the next week or two. After they're cleaned up, we will grind the stumps and sod the areas of disturbance.
All the trees being removed fit into at least one of three categories; they are listed on master plan, they are diseased, dead, or structural deficient, or they negatively impact the turf and golf course. Below are some examples of the issues these trees had.

We're also working to remove the ornamental crab apples near he tennis courts and along the main drive. These small trees have been declining for a while and have reached the point of now return. We have the majority of these trees removed at this point. In the future, we may plant a more pest-resistant shade tree to replace these.
